What the service includes
In short
Analytics and performance measurement means tracking what visitors do on your website, where they come from and how many become customers, with data reliable enough to act on. AD AZUR DIGITAL, digital 360 experts based in Sfax, Tunisia, works with Tunisian SMEs, European companies and brands targeting the Gulf that have numbers but do not trust them.

We start from the decisions you need to make, write a tracking plan, then handle your Google Analytics 4 configuration and Google Tag Manager setup: conversions, traffic sources, consent, and links to Search Console and your ad platforms. We then connect the website to your CRM, so that sales closed by phone, on WhatsApp or on delivery are counted, and deliver a readable dashboard with a written monthly review. Accounts and data stay in your name. No tool measures everything: we document what is measured, what is estimated and what escapes. The starting point is a free audit.
Decisions before tools
We start with the questions you settle every month: which channel to fund, which page to fix, which offer to push. Tracking follows from those questions, not the other way round.
A written tracking plan
Every event, conversion and parameter is described in a shared document: what it measures, where it fires, who signed it off. Your next supplier can pick it up without guesswork.
GA4 and Tag Manager done properly
Key conversions, internal traffic excluded, data retention set, cross-domain tracking, links to Search Console and your ad platforms: the technical base is tested in staging before going live.
Offline sales brought back in
A call, a WhatsApp message, an order paid on delivery, a contract signed months later: we connect your CRM to measurement so you see what really happens to enquiries.
Consent taken seriously
The banner, Google's consent mode and tag behaviour follow the applicable framework: the GDPR in Europe, Tunisia's personal data law and Gulf regulations.
Dashboards people actually read
A few metrics per audience, tied to goals, and a written monthly review: what moved, why, and the decision that follows.

Everything worth knowing before you startThe full guide, with the recurring questions and who it is for.
Who is it for?
Who this service is for
SMEs in Tunisia
In Sfax, Tunis or Sousse, you invest in a website, ads or social media, yet nobody can say which channel actually brings in customers.
Online shops and consumer brands
Orders come through the website, the phone and WhatsApp, often paid on delivery: you want to count delivered sales, not confirmed baskets.
Companies in Europe
In France, Belgium or Switzerland, you want clean measurement within the GDPR framework, handled by a senior French-speaking team at most an hour from Paris.
Brands focused on the Gulf
In the UAE, Saudi Arabia or Qatar, your website runs in Arabic and English: measurement has to compare both versions and both markets without mixing them up.

Why is a default Google Analytics 4 configuration not enough?
Installing Google Analytics 4 takes a few minutes. Getting figures a management team can act on takes rather more. Out of the box, the tool counts page views, scrolls and outbound clicks; it has no idea what a qualified quote request, a delivered order or an attended appointment is.
The usual result: conversions counted twice, internal traffic mixed in with prospects' visits, campaigns that cannot be told apart because links were never tagged, and three tools giving three different numbers. Eventually nobody trusts any report, and budgets are decided on gut feeling.
A serious Google Analytics 4 configuration therefore starts before the tool, with the list of decisions your figures need to inform. The technical work comes next, and it gets tested.
Which decisions should your figures inform?
A good measurement plan is short. Every metric answers a question that someone in the business has to settle at regular intervals. If it serves no decision, it only clutters the dashboard.
| Management question | Metric | Reference source | Frequency |
|---|---|---|---|
| Which channel deserves more budget? | Cost per qualified enquiry, by source | Ad platforms and CRM | Monthly |
| Does the website convert its visits? | Conversion rate by landing page and device | GA4 | Monthly |
| Is our content attracting the right visitors? | Searches, clicks and pages that generate enquiries | Search Console and GA4 | Quarterly |
| Do enquiries turn into sales? | Close rate and time to decision | CRM | Monthly |
| Which market is growing? | Enquiries and sales by country and language | GA4 and CRM | Quarterly |
This table becomes the tracking plan: a written list of the events, conversions and parameters to collect, each with its definition, its trigger and the person who signed it off. It is the document that saves you from rebuilding everything the next time you change supplier.
How do you make your website's conversion tracking reliable?
Conversion tracking is the heart of the job. This is what we check every time:
- One conversion per real action: a form counts when the enquiry is actually recorded, not when someone clicks the submit button.
- Intent kept apart from results: a click on the phone number or on WhatsApp signals interest, not a sale. We measure it without confusing it with a completed enquiry.
- Deduplicated orders: reloading a confirmation page must not create a second sale.
- Disciplined campaign naming: consistent UTM parameters from one campaign to the next, otherwise paid traffic ends up filed as 'direct'.
- Internal traffic excluded, payment or booking domains linked, and data retention set from day one.
- Tools connected to each other: Search Console, Google Ads and, where used, Meta and LinkedIn tags, all managed through Google Tag Manager.
Every event is tested in preview mode, then compared with the enquiries actually received. Our online advertising service builds directly on this foundation: a campaign can only be optimised properly on accurate conversions.
What about sales closed outside the website?
Many businesses sell somewhere other than their website. In Tunisia, an online order is often confirmed by phone and paid on delivery; in B2B, a quote may be signed months after the first visit. The website's analytics tool sees none of it.
The answer lies in your CRM or, failing that, a rigorously kept spreadsheet. Every contact is given its origin: campaign, search, social network, referral. The outcome is then recorded against it: quote sent, deal signed, order delivered and paid. These results can be imported back into GA4 and into the ad platforms, which then optimise for sales rather than clicks.
This link usually needs a little automation, with n8n for example, and data-entry discipline on the sales side. It is the part that depends on you the most.
How does consent change what you see?
Some of your visitors refuse tracking, and that is their right. In Europe, the GDPR governs that choice; in Tunisia, Organic Law No. 2004-63 protects personal data; in the Gulf, texts such as Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law apply as well. We configure the banner, Google's consent mode and tag behaviour accordingly. We cite these frameworks; legal sign-off remains with your own adviser.
The practical consequence: your reports do not show all your visitors. GA4 can estimate part of the missing behaviour when volume allows, but the figures remain partial. So we read trends, and rely on the CRM to count sales.
What does a useful dashboard look like?
A useful dashboard fits on one screen and speaks to one person. Management sees enquiries, sales and acquisition cost; the marketing lead sees channels and campaigns; the website team sees pages and journeys. We build it in Looker Studio from GA4, Search Console, the ad platforms and, where possible, the CRM, with a definition for every metric.
The dashboard is not enough on its own. Every month, a written note explains what moved, the likely cause and the proposed decision. Our article on measuring the return on your marketing details the method, and ideas for improving pages feed into our work on conversion funnels and CRO.
What will measurement not tell you?
Measurement has blind spots, and it pays to know them before you decide:
- Attribution is a convention. Whether a sale goes to the last ad clicked or is shared across several channels depends on a model, not a fact.
- Small volumes mislead. With a handful of enquiries a month, a change can be pure chance; we then compare longer periods.
- Some influences stay invisible: word of mouth, a trade fair, an AI assistant that mentions your brand without a clickable link.
- Tools change. Google updates GA4 regularly, and tracking that is not maintained quietly degrades.
Hence a simple habit: ask every new customer how they heard of you, and record the answer in the CRM. That qualitative information usefully complements the figures.
Why entrust your measurement to AD AZUR DIGITAL?
Because we measure what we build and run every day: websites, campaigns, content and automations. AD AZUR DIGITAL, digital 360 experts based in Sfax, therefore knows which figures support a decision and which only fill a report. We work on Next.js sites as well as WordPress, PrestaShop or Shopify, in English, French and Arabic, including right-to-left versions. From Tunisia, on UTC+1 all year round, our working day overlaps with both Paris and Dubai. Properties, containers and dashboards are created in your name, and they stay yours.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
The questions our clients in Tunisia, Europe and the Middle East ask before starting. Another question? Write to us.
How do I configure Google Analytics 4 properly?
Start by listing the decisions your figures need to inform, then the actions with commercial value: quote request, call, order. Install GA4 through Google Tag Manager, mark those actions as key events, exclude your internal traffic, choose the longest data retention available and link Search Console and your ad platforms. Set up consent before going live. Finally, test every event in preview mode and compare the conversions counted with the enquiries you actually received.
Why don't GA4, Meta and my CRM show the same numbers?
Because they do not count the same thing. Each ad platform credits conversions to its own ads, within its own attribution window, while GA4 shares credit across channels according to its model. Consent also removes some visitors from measurement. Your CRM, meanwhile, records actual sales. A gap is normal; a gap that shifts for no reason points to a tracking problem. We document these gaps and choose one reference source per decision.
How do I track conversions on a website that sells by phone or WhatsApp?
First measure clicks to call and to WhatsApp as intent, not as sales. Then give every contact an origin: a number dedicated to campaigns, a prefilled WhatsApp message that varies by page, or a question asked at first contact. Record that origin in your CRM along with the outcome: quote, order, paid delivery. Those sales can then be imported back into GA4 and the ad platforms. It is a common situation in Tunisia, and it can be measured.
Does cookie consent distort Google Analytics data?
It reduces what you can see: visitors who refuse tracking do not appear, or appear only as anonymous signals, depending on how Google's consent mode is configured. GA4 can then estimate part of the missing behaviour, provided volume is sufficient. This is not a flaw to work around: it is the framework set by the GDPR in Europe and by other laws elsewhere. So we compare trends rather than absolute figures, and rely on the CRM to count sales.
Do I need a Looker Studio dashboard as well as GA4?
Usually, yes. The GA4 interface is built for exploration; it is poorly suited to a quick check by management. A Looker Studio dashboard brings together on one page the few metrics that matter, drawn from GA4, Search Console, the ad platforms and sometimes the CRM, with a definition for each. It does not replace interpretation: a number without commentary says neither why it moved nor what to decide.
