Our approach

One method, four commitments

In short

AD AZUR DIGITAL's web development & applications practice, run by 360° digital experts based in Sfax, covers website development in Tunisia and beyond: corporate websites, online shops, web and SaaS applications, mobile apps, and redesigns with migration to Next.js. It serves Tunisian SMEs, European companies looking for a senior French-speaking team close by, and Gulf brands that want an Arabic-first website with a native right-to-left layout.

Every project starts with a free audit: business goals, visitor journeys, existing content, technical constraints. We then deliver custom Next.js and TypeScript code, technical SEO built in from the design stage, an admin interface to edit content in French, English and Arabic, and a documented launch. The client keeps ownership of the code, the data and the accounts. Work moves forward in approved stages, with testing on desktop and mobile before every launch.

  1. Outcomes before technology

We start from what the site must produce: quote requests, sales, job applications, bookings. Pages, features and technical choices follow from that goal, not the other way round.

  2. Code that you own

Next.js and TypeScript, versioned in Git and hosted on your accounts. No theme, no pile of plugins: readable code that your team or another provider can take over.

  3. Search and speed by design

Page structure, markup, structured data, images and load times are handled during development, not patched after launch.

  4. Three languages, native Arabic

French, English and Arabic are managed from the same admin interface. Arabic is designed right-to-left (RTL) from the first mock-up, not mirrored at the end of the project.

Who is it for?

Who this area is for

  • SMEs and manufacturers in Tunisia

Companies in Sfax, Tunis, Sousse or the Sahel whose website brings in no enquiries, or who need a catalogue, a customer area or an internal business tool.

  • European companies

Businesses in France, Belgium, Switzerland or Luxembourg looking for a senior French-speaking team close by, at most an hour from their time zone, for a website or an application.

  • Agencies seeking a white-label partner

European agencies that win Next.js, multilingual or e-commerce projects without in-house developers, and want a discreet partner who documents the work.

  • Brands in the Gulf and Middle East

Companies in the UAE, Saudi Arabia or Qatar that want an Arabic-first or bilingual Arabic-English website, with native right-to-left typography and navigation.

The guide

Why does website development in Tunisia take more than a theme?

Many company websites behave like brochures: a polished home page, a few photos and a contact form whose messages nobody follows up. They load slowly on mobile, rarely show up on Google and become hard to change once the plugin holding them together is no longer maintained. The site exists, but it does not work for the business.

Website development in Tunisia deserves better than a purchased theme filled with text. A website is a technical asset: it has to be found, answer your customers' questions, display quickly on an ordinary phone and turn a visit into an enquiry. That is what our development team in Sfax builds, for Tunisia, Europe and the Middle East.

If you are torn between presenting and selling, Brochure site or e-commerce: how to choose asks the right questions. Mobile applications and performance optimisation complete the practice when the need is there.

Why Next.js as the foundation?

We build with Next.js and TypeScript for three concrete reasons. Pages are prepared on the server, so they display quickly and remain readable by Google and by AI answer engines. One codebase carries the website, the admin interface and the connections to your tools, instead of a stack of add-ons that contradict each other. And TypeScript catches a share of errors before they reach your visitors.

The choice has a limit, and we would rather state it. Your team edits text, images, articles and translations on its own, but adding a new type of section requires a developer. If your organisation publishes heavily and is attached to the WordPress editor, an architecture where WordPress only manages content may be the better fit. Next.js or WordPress: how should your business choose? sets out the trade-off.

Already running WordPress or PrestaShop?

Not every site needs rebuilding, and the audit is also there to say so. A WordPress site or PrestaShop store that already brings in enquiries can be secured, slimmed down and sped up, page by page.

Migration makes sense when plugins conflict, every update feels risky, the site stays slow despite tuning or the Arabic version never quite worked. It is then prepared as a project in its own right (page inventory, redirects, acceptance testing), following the method set out in Website migration: a practical method for SEO continuity.

What changes depending on the target market?

The foundation stays the same; the priorities shift.

  • Tunisia: a site that stays fast on an entry-level phone and a mobile connection, French and Arabic side by side and, for a shop, local online payment alongside cash on delivery.
  • Europe: a flawless French or English version, cookie consent planned from the design stage and, for agencies, white-label work in your own repository. Sfax shares Paris time in winter and is one hour behind in summer.
  • Gulf: Arabic often first and English second; typography, forms and directional icons designed right-to-left; WhatsApp built into the journey when that is how your customers get in touch. Dubai is only three hours ahead of Sfax.

How does a project with AD AZUR DIGITAL run?

  1. Free audit: goals, current site, competitors, available content.
  2. Written scope: site structure, features, languages, scope and schedule, approved before any development.
  3. Designs for desktop and mobile, in every planned language.
  4. Staged development on a staging environment you can open at any time.
  5. Pre-launch testing: journeys, forms, all three languages, speed, indexing.
  6. Launch and follow-up, with documentation and a handover to your team.

Lead times depend mostly on how quickly content is ready and decisions are approved, less on the code.

Who owns the website and the data?

You do. The code lives in a Git repository in your name, the domain and hosting sit on your accounts, and the stack remains self-hostable with Docker and Coolify. If you ever change provider, they inherit a documented project, not a black box.

Forms and data storage are designed with the applicable frameworks in mind: GDPR in Europe, Tunisia's Organic Law No. 2004-63, and Gulf regulations such as Saudi Arabia's PDPL. We apply these principles in the code; legal sign-off remains with your own counsel.

Where should you start?

Send your current website address or a few lines about your project through the project form, ideally with your goals, your markets and the tools to connect (management software, customer database, payment). The free audit identifies what is holding you back and what needs building. The offers page and How much does a website cost in Tunisia explain what drives the budget; detailed pricing is quoted after the audit.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The questions our clients in Tunisia, Europe and the Middle East ask before starting. Another question? Write to us.

How much does website development in Tunisia cost?

The cost depends on the number of pages, the languages, the features (payment, customer area, connection to existing software) and the content to produce. A single-language corporate site and a trilingual shop do not sit in the same budget. AD AZUR DIGITAL explains what drives a quote on its Offers page, then prices a written scope after a free audit rather than a vague estimate.

Why choose Next.js over WordPress for a company website?

Next.js prepares pages on the server, so they display quickly and remain readable by Google and by AI answer engines. With no stack of third-party plugins to update, there are fewer dependencies to monitor and fewer conflicts. WordPress remains relevant when an editorial team publishes heavily and is attached to its editor. AD AZUR DIGITAL decides on the basis of how the site will really be used, not habit.

Corporate website, online shop or web application: which do I need?

It depends on what visitors must do. If they need to understand your offer and get in touch, a corporate website is enough. If they need to choose a product, pay and receive it, you need an online shop. If they need to log in to view or enter data, that is a web application. At AD AZUR DIGITAL all three share the same Next.js foundation, so a corporate site can later add a shop or a customer area without starting from scratch.

Do you work with companies in Europe and the Middle East?

Yes. The team, based in Sfax, works in French, English and Arabic, which covers exchanges with France, Belgium or Switzerland as well as with the Gulf. Tunisia is on UTC+1 all year: the same time as Paris in winter, one hour behind in summer and three hours behind Dubai. Projects run remotely, with a shared Git repository, a staging environment you can open at any time and regular video calls.

How do I choose a web development company in Tunisia?

Ask five questions before signing. Who will own the code, the domain and the hosting? Is SEO handled during development or afterwards? How is the Arabic version built? Is the scope written down and approved before work starts? Is testing planned before launch? Precise answers to these questions tell you more than a portfolio.
